Really disappointing that the film freezes at the last fifteen minutes point as so many have pointed out because as many of you would have loved to see the ending with the storyline of them taking out the tanks and regaining the bridge so it’s pretty annoying.😢😅

This is truly one of my all time favorite WW2 movies ever When Trumpets Fade the battle of the Hurtgen Forrest on which I own with a lot of great other's on DVD and Blurey!👌.

I don't think "Saving Private Ryan" is truer and more realistic than this film. That American military idiocy in the Hurtgen Forest - for which Eisenhower is responsible - somehow failed to interest Spielberg. Too few opportunities for mawkish happyends and kitschy trumpet "patriotic" melodies.
